The Packaging Innovations is the platform for new insights and innovations when it comes to primary packaging. Everything regarding packaging and its design are showcased at this fair. Solutions towards existing and future issues are being shown and discussed. We, from Dijkstra Plastics ,want to think with you towards solutions for your (possible) issues.
Projects as Frylite, where containers are being reused as well as the PCR packaging containers from Wijhe Verf (both IMDA Award 2021 winning projects) are key in the sustainability values of Dijkstra Plastics. Besides those projects Dijkstra Plastics also participated in several tests towards recyclability within the food industry. Everything to make steps towards sustainability within the packaging industry, as we have been doing for years.

In the autumn of 2022, the audit for the BRCGS certification took place at Dijkstra Plastics. BRCGS is a standard for food safety. This standard describes the hygiene and food safety requirements for food processing companies that supply directly to the retail sector.

FIRE-OFF: our new start-up for circular plastic production
We are proud to announce that we have started a new start-up to make the production of recycled plastic buckets circular: FIRE-OFF. On the initiative of Dijkstra Plastics, painting companies, the hospitality industry and festival organisations are personally approached to save empty buckets and to hand them in at the weekly FIRE-OFF pick-up point.

Plastic bottle caps are worth money!
We have donated buckets for the Oogappeltjes Foundation and KNGF Guide Dog Foundation. These buckets are placed in supermarkets, and customers can fill them with their plastic bottle caps. KNGF receives a fee per kilo of caps. We truly enjoy contributing to such a wonderful initiative!

Packaging Innovations 2021
The Packaging Innovations will take place on the 17th and 18th of November in the Taets Art & Event Park, Amsterdam. After missing out on meeting with you, due to the corona pandemic we look forward meeting you at this fair! BRC Packaging
BRCGS is a standard for food safety. The standard describes the hygiene and food safety requirements for food processing companies that supply directly to the retail sector. You can also think of packaging materials for foodstuffs.
FSSC 22000
The FSSC 22000 Standard has been created through Stichting Certificatie Voedselveiligheid (SCV). As a food-oriented version of the ISO 22000 Standard, this certification programme has been set up as a global guideline in food safety and quality within various industries. This standard is aimed at the entire production chain and as such, it is ideally suited for international harmonisation, partly thanks to the recognition by the GFSI. In addition to its connection with ISO 22000, the FSSC 22000 has many comparisons with the HACCP criteria, making it an attractive variant with the best of both worlds from these programmes. Thanks to the internationally accepted nature of the FSSC and the chain-wide approach within this certification programme, we recognise a strong food safety management system in this standard.
