Dijkstra Plastics provides lightweight food packaging that meets the most stringent quality standards and comes as standard with a tamper-evident seal.

All our food packaging buckets are designed to meet the needs and expectations of both consumers and professional users. For fresh food products such as salads, olives, fish and ice cream, we offer round, square and rectangular tubs and containers with capacities ranging from 0.5 to 25 litres.

Using high-quality In-Mould Labelling (IML) technology, we give every package outstanding shelf appeal. Larger packaging buckets are also available for professional and industrial applications.

The Basic & Food, ECM, ECF and GL ranges comprise a collection of lightweight containers that stack perfectly. Developed specifically for the food industry, these ranges combine low weight, outstanding quality and maximum efficiency.

DECORATION

Giving your packaging a distinctive look that reflects your brand is essential for making your product stand out in the marketplace. Both the bucket and the lid can be produced in the colour of your choice. Using high-quality In-Mould Labelling (IML) technology, we give every package outstanding shelf appeal. In addition to photo-realistic printing, a wide range of applications, finishes and design options is available.

TAMPER-EVIDENT CLOSURE

All packaging is fitted with a robust handle, an easy-open lid and a tamper-evident seal. The tamper-evident seal provides an instant visual indication of whether the packaging has been opened previously. It is designed to remain attached to the bucket after opening, preventing it from falling into the contents.

SEAL LIDS

To ensure fresh products are packaged in an airtight and leak-proof way, Dijkstra Plastics supplies buckets that can be sealed with foil before being closed with a specially designed sealing lid. Sealing lids are available for most of our packaging bucket ranges.

Frylite is Ireland’s leading supplier of fresh cooking oil. For more than 30 years, the company has been providing its customers with cooking oils of the highest quality. It also operates a long-established used cooking oil collection service. To support this closed-loop process, Frylite uses packaging buckets supplied by Dijkstra Plastics.

BRC Packaging

BRCGS is a standard for food safety. The standard describes the hygiene and food safety requirements for food processing companies that supply directly to the retail sector. You can also think of packaging materials for foodstuffs.

FSSC 22000

The FSSC 22000 Standard has been created through Stichting Certificatie Voedselveiligheid (SCV). As a food-oriented version of the ISO 22000 Standard, this certification programme has been set up as a global guideline in food safety and quality within various industries. This standard is aimed at the entire production chain and as such, it is ideally suited for international harmonisation, partly thanks to the recognition by the GFSI. In addition to its connection with ISO 22000, the FSSC 22000 has many comparisons with the HACCP criteria, making it an attractive variant with the best of both worlds from these programmes. Thanks to the internationally accepted nature of the FSSC and the chain-wide approach within this certification programme, we recognise a strong food safety management system in this standard.
