Brand perception on your packaging: reintegration of corporate identity.
After the introduction of a new corporate identity, how do you prevent packaging with the old identity still on display in the shops, because the old supply of buckets and IML labels must be consumed first? As a buyer of packaging buckets, you can of course have the old stock destroyed and accept the loss. This can amount to a loss of thousands of Euros. At Dijkstra Plastics, we prefer to do things differently!
We know our customers and their purchasing patterns well and based on that knowledge, we can make a reliable estimate of their total packaging needs in the coming period. In the case of Fokken & Müller GmbH, we were able to purchase IML labels showing the old corporate identity once more. Subsequently, without incurring significant losses, the entire packaging line was switched to the new identity on a predetermined date.
This prompted Fokken & Müller GmbH to altogether outsource the purchasing of IML labels. Dijkstra Plastics keeps track of exactly how many buckets and trays of a certain design are purchased and buys new IML labels in due time, so that the customer never runs out of packaging buckets and trays. Each week, the customer automatically receives a stock list from which deliveries are made on a call-off basis. Dijkstra then replenishes the stock. A perfect example of close collaboration between Dijkstra Plastics and Fokken & Müller.
